With every challenge, road block, mess, mix-up, confusion, disappointment, and all other pain-in-the-ass situations, there is one constant: Choice!  

We always have a choice…

How will I choose to be affected by this situation/person?

Will I use this to support my highest and best or to keep me stuck in the past?

What do I choose to do about this?

We always have control over our choices. We simply have to get out of our own way to ask the right questions and make choices that support our highest and best.

Is it your past that keeps you stuck? Or, is it your thinking about your past that keeps you stuck? When you find yourself asking “why” questions. You can bet you are looking backwards for the answers. Start asking yourself  “how” and “by when” questions instead!

Why am I out of shape?

Why do we argue so much?

Why am I alone?

(See what I mean!)

How can I learn more about this?

By when will I have the house repainted?

How much money do I want to save?

By when will we get together for coffee?

(I don’t know about you but I am feeling lighter already!)

It is the start of a new year and many of us are making resolutions to be better organized, to exercise more,  and  we are setting goals we’re going to follow through on. I am right here with you!

 When we are moving through our day with passion and purpose, we carry a sense of peace and joy in our hearts, even when the going gets tough.

Today’s video reflection reminds us to match our To-Do List with our true heart’s desire. What is that for you? What’s your passion and purpose? What daily action or practice will you put into place that moves you in that direction?

What little things get you down? What frustrates or angers you that you have no control over? Take time today to notice where you spend your prescious energy.  Stop giving it away to the small stuff. Redirect your thoughts to the things and people that support your highest and best! I guarantee you a more peaceful and joyfilled existence.

The next time you are feeling angry, upset or frustrated, give yourself permission to shift your thinking and state of being. Deal with the situation from your highest and best and see if that doesn’t make things lighter and more managable. You will likely still be angry, upset and frustrated – but you’ll have a fresh perspective to help you through it.  Namaste

What are the simple things in your life that make you smile and feel abundant?

It doesn’t cost a dime. You don’t have to drive anywhere to pick it up. It requires no equipment or assistance. There is no right or wrong way to engage in it. Silence. It is golden.

How about you? What happens to you when you give yourself the gift of silence?

Today’s reflection focuses on our morning routines and how easily we can set ourselves up for failure and drudgery before we even start our day. What morning habits do you have that support you in being your best?

Sure, most of us can find something we don’t like about the way we look. We are human afterall. But what if you focused on the things you do like about yourself? What if you accepted and loved yourself – just the way you are?

As I posted today’s video reflection, I got to thinking that it would fun to share ideas for how we can honor ourselves on a daily basis. Please, join me in brainstorming  as many ideas as possible. And, of course, let me know if you have any questions or a different perspective to share.

Take a bath by candlelight

Eat healthy and whole foods

Raise glass in a toast to myself
